What are Max Performance tires?

Max performance tires are made for summer and can handle up to 168 mph (index W). This class of tires mostly have asymmetrical tread patterns, and is designed for fast and powerful passengers' cars  (Sedan, SUV).

The performance of tires in this category is not compromised by the trade-offs that are inevitable for all-season tires, which must also cope with winter conditions. And unlike the sportier high-performance summer tires, they also behave in a civilized way on the road, making everyday driving enjoyable.

Max performance tires are made using technologies originally from autocross and have the most modern tread compounds providing incredible grip, precise handling  and durability at high speeds.

It makes sense to describe a few models of tires in this category, as they have already become popular among owners of fast and powerful sports cars. We will consider two models which become a benchmark in their class and the other two models of Max performance tires which are the popular customer’s choice.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport — most expensive and most famous

The Michelin PSS is considered the best tire in the category, delivering acceptable comfort in everyday life while still providing outstanding performance and steering precision at high speeds.
